Castellon benefits financially from the World Cup thanks to the participation of its players Awer Mabil and Brian Cipenga. The Spanish national team began its journey in the tournament, and the albinegro club has wished them good luck on their path to a second star. However, Castellon's interest lies in the other two teams, Australia and the Democratic Republic of Congo, which feature Mabil and Cipenga, respectively. FIFA has approved a new aid program for clubs that release players for the World Cup, which could result in a significant sum of money for the club. In total, FIFA has allocated $355 million for this program, of which $250 million is designated for clubs that released players for the final phase of the tournament. Each club will receive $5,000 for each player released during this phase. With Mabil and Cipenga's participation, Castellon has already secured a minimum of $380,000, which is approximately €330,000. This financial boost is a relief for the club and strengthens its position in the Segunda División.
